Calcium Bromide is a chemical element having the chemical formula CaBr2. It is constituted via the reaction of calcium carbonate, calcium oxide with hydrobromic acid. The hydrated form of this chemical compound is mainly utilized in drilling fluids. This can be utilized with calcium chloride brines as well as dry calcium chloride so as to make non-damaging fluids. Applicable in the dense aqueous solutions for drilling fluids, food preservatives, neuroses medication, freezing mixtures, fire retardants and photography.
