Silver white colored Calcium is reckoned as a soft metal that acts as a reducing agent during fabrication of uranium and thorium. It lose its sheen when comes in contact with air. It is naturally found in limestone and apatite. It does not react with water and its compound form is utilized for production of cement and for removal of impurities from molten iron. It has high melting point and high boiling point. Calcium is an excellent corrosion inhibitor. This metal is therefore, is used for galvanization of steel that are utilized in building construction, car fabrication and pipe manufacturing works. Apart from that, this product is considered as an important nutritional mineral for human body.
